It is with great sadness that the family of Joel Baylon announces his passing. Joel died at his home on March 4th, 2018 in La Mesa, NM at the age of 36.
Joel will be forever remembered by his parents Lillia Baylon and Jose Quesada of La Mesa, New Mexico; wife Aida Baylon of Las Cruces, New Mexico; children Itzel Baylon, Yesenia Baylon, Joaquin Baylon and Bianay Baylon. He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents Jose C. and Barbara Baylon of La Mesa, New Mexico; paternal grandparents Joaquin and Juana Quezada of Casas Grandes, Mexico.
Joel was born on August 14th1981 in El Paso, Texas. He graduated from Las Cruces High School where he played baseball.
He attained his CDL license at age 19 and was a professional truck driver for many years with L&P and Rain for Rent. He enjoyed playing baseball, weightlifting and socializing with friends and family. He is remembered by all for being a kind man, a devoted husband, father, friend, son and family member.
He never hesitated to help anyone in need. Most of all he is remembered for his uplifting and playful sense of humor. Joel put a smile on everyone’s face anywhere he went.
A Rosary in memory of Joel will be held on Tuesday, March 13th, 2018 at 6:30 p.m., at Getz Funeral home, 1410 E. Bowman Ave, Las Cruces. A mass will follow on Wednesday, March 14th, 2018 at 10 a.m., at San Miguel Catholic Church, 19217 NM-28, La Mesa. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Joel’s life.
